*POSTED FROM CHARLESTON, SC*
Hey again! Nikki here writing from 40E, Johnston County NC.
We just passed a sign that says Fuquay-Varina – so theres that? If anyone knows
anyone who lives in that town, please let us know (so we can laugh at them and
their town name) We had a lovely time in Cary/Raleigh NC. Unfortunately,
Christmas ruins lives, and a majority of everything ever was closed last night
and this morning. Luckily, the Wittenberg family is a hoot and kept us
entertained and happy! Also luckily, the Asian community loves Jews and wants
to feed us, regardless of Jesus’s birth. We ended up at a delicious Hibachi
restaurant for lunch, which really held us over through dinner, because we did
not eat anything else until we had chocolate ice cream (thanks Mr. Wittenberg!)
at 11:30pm. The place is called Ginza and because they didn't offer us lunch
specials, Lindsey splurged for the Filet Mignon “and it was worth every penny –
I ate every thing except the veggies cause that shit sucks. They gave me so
many onions L”
After Ginza, we took a driving tour of the town of Cary, and made a pitstop at
the North Cary park, where we swung on the swings for a total of 1 minute and 5
seconds, and then got back in the car because the south is not as warm as we
thought it was going to be…
We proceeded to go back to Wittenberg Manor and create this
blog and the trailer for our Vlog. It was a great use of time, especially
because there was literally nothing else open for us to explore. We also made
more concrete plans for the duration of our trip. The excitement of the night
peaked when Mr. Wittenberg went out to get us ice cream from the local CVS and
called on his way home to say there was a pack of Deer in the neighborhood, so
we hopped in the car to go look at the deer. Like I said, Cary was great.
We woke up this morning and left Cary to head to downtown
Raleigh. Again, people here think Christmas extends to the 26, so most stuff
was still closed. It was also like 9:30am, so maybe too early? We stopped a
girl on the street to ask for a good
breakfast recommendation and she sent us to a precious place called
Joule Coffee. We got eggs, hashbrowns, grits, bacon and toast. Deeeelish. Thanks
girl on the street! Have a great rest of your day!
So, now the latest is that were heading to Charleston. Good
ol 95 South.
I almost went to the College of Charleston – maybe this trip
will either reassure me that I made the right decision or send me into a
downward spiral of regret – stay tuned, loyal followers!
Also get excited for the first real Vlog episode. Its sure
to impress.
You know you love us,
Xoxo
Nikki
